THE RIVERLINE AMBASSADORS
The Riverline Ambassadors are local community leaders who commit their time to strengthening the connection between The Riverline and the surrounding neighborhoods. Ambassadors share information about The Riverline with their neighbors, help publicize and run events, and bring us ideas and input from their communities to help us shape this great public space.

The Riverline Ambassadors commit an average of 5 hours per month to their work and are paid for their time. In 2024, the Ambassadors worked a total of 118 hours.

The 2024 Ambassadors were a group of five outstanding individuals. Each brought their own skills, interests, and contributions, but all shared an enthusiastic vision of what The Riverline can become for their communities. They increased the capacity of The Riverline team by helping to promote, organize, and implement our programming. Their work included:
-
Tabling and interacting with the public at community events.
-
Assisting with the Public Engagement component of The Riverline Study, a required component and essential to The Study’s success. This included publicizing, organizing and participating in 8 public meetings and 5 Block Talk “on location” events.
-
Organizing and co-leading community cleanup, planting, and maintenance events with volunteers.
-
Going door-to-door and hanging flyers in The Riverline neighborhoods, and posting on social media to promote The Riverline Study as well our other events.
-
Participation at Block Association and other community meetings to give updates, and answer questions.
One Ambassador put it well in his year-end evaluation form: “The most important role for The Riverline is community outreach. There are a lot of behind-the-scenes details that the public is unaware of. The Ambassador program helps continue momentum for the project while keeping the public updated on its progress.”
