THE RIVERLINE STUDY:
DISPLAY BOARDS
FROM JULY MEETINGS

At our recent public meetings in July 2024 for The Riverline Study, the team developed several display boards to showcase findings so far and preliminary designs for key locations along the corridor.  The boards are divided into 5 Sections specified below. To view the boards, click on the section links.

Section 1: Introduction to The Riverline

This includes The Riverline concept plan, developed in 2021, and several renderings of locations along the corridor. It also includes overviews of two key documents developed with the help of residents in The Riverline neighborhoods: the Equitable Development Framework and the Community Vision Plan. These documents guide all aspects The Riverline's mission, from programming to future construction plans, and ensure that the community can meaningfully engage in the development and use of The Riverline.

Section 2: Preliminary Design

The "Scroll Map" provides an overview of The Riverline corridor, with several sections highlighted. These highlighted sections are detailed in subsequent boards and include locations such as the Junctures and the Half Bridge. There are also display boards showing the visual impacts of installing bridges across some of the streets that run perpendicular to the corridor, such as Louisiana Street.

Section 3: Environmental Review

This section includes a Cultural Resources board that outlines the history of what were once prosperous Haudenosaunee communities along The Riverline corridor and in surrounding areas. There are also boards displaying information on environmental assessments of the corridor.

Section 4: Social and Community Impacts

This section focuses on impacts to the neighborhoods adjacent to the corridor as a result of building The Riverline. The display boards address issues such as housing, the economy, transportation, and neighborhood and community connections.

Section 5: Next Steps

This board outlines what will take place for the remainder of The Riverline Study, due to wrap up in October 2024.
