THE RIVERLINE STUDY
2024 has been an important year for The Riverline. Several assessments and preliminary designs which are required before construction can begin were completed.
In February, C&S Companies began conducting The Riverline Study, which analyzes the environmental, cultural, and community impacts related to building The Riverline. This study is a requirement of the New York State Department of Transportation. The Riverline team worked closely alongside C&S throughout this process as well as with the NFTA, the land owners of the corridor. The Study took approximately 10 months and was completed in October 2024.
Part of the Study included a series of public meetings to give updates and involve all members of the community. These meetings were a very important part of this process, as the public's input was essential to help us keep the community's vision front and center and make The Riverline the best it can be.
We completed the first round of public meetings in March. These meetings included presentations about what The Riverline Study is and how the process will unfold.

You can view the presentation from the March meetings here.

We completed a second round of public meetings in July to mark the mid-way point of the Study. At these meetings, we presented the results so far from the environmental, social and community, and cultural heritage assessments. We also had several display boards showcasing exciting preliminary designs for key locations along the corridor such as the Junctures and the Half Bridge.

We completed the final round of meetings in September, marking the end of the study.
